Complaint forms that are not completed with the required information or signed, will be returned to the complainant.
Can complaints be filed anonymously?
No. Complaints cannot be filed anonymously. Your identity is not confidential.
Will the respondent receive a copy of my complaint?
Yes. Copies of the complaint will be sent the person it was filed against (i.e., the respondent).
What is the turnaround time for complaints?
Complaints are processed in the order in which they are received. Due to the various factors, and parties, involved in the complaint process, this can take some time. We are unable to provide a more specific timeframe.
Can complaints be dismissed without being heard by the Commission?
All complaints are presented to the Commission; however, some may be administratively dismissed in accordance with our Administrative Dismissal Policy. This policy is located on the JBCC Statutes, Rules & Policies page.
